Adventures in Dyeing

Last week, I went over to a friend's house to dye my first skein of yarn. Interestingly, it wasn't that bad of a process, and it was really quite fun! I ended up with a luscious pomegranate-esque color and now I just want to dye, dye, dye!

The thing about dyeing is that you need the tools and you need the space... it's also a process that is time sensitive to some degree. I am looking forward to creating a dyeing space in my basement complete with a utility sink and dyeing racks-galore!

I will be sure to take a photo of my first dyed skein and will post soon. I need to get better about the whole posting photos thing! So photos to come!!

Wait until you start dyeing yarn you spun! Talk about FUN.

BTW- would like to confirm that you are receiving the gift of Spin Off I sent you from the swap. It was a surprise......but never heard back whether it is reaching you.

Claudia (with all the great sheep wool you COULD have had for spinning from sheep to end product.......)
