Every 2 years, something magical happens. Knitters from all over the world gather for what is the greatest sock knitting convention ever. It's called Sock Summit, and it is wonderful. I didn't have the opportunity to go in 2009, but I heard many great things about it. Shortly after moving to Vegas, forming a knit group, and planting myself locally, I decided it was time to plan a trip there. So myself and a few of our Sin City Knits gals decided to band together and attend this lovely convention. And we had a blast.
Some highlights included:
The Marketplace filled with wonderful vendors!

A tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory.

A trip to the Oregon Coast and a visit to Canon Beach.

And last but not least; it's not a party until a sheep is shorn!

I do so wish that I had been able to go, even though I know I made the right choice for me. :) I'm so glad you had a lovely time. 2013, I'm there! Also... Taos?
What fun to stumble across this post! That's me in my apron in the first picture :)
@Namztis - Yay! It was nice meeting you!
